How do I know if I'm getting the Cursed Coin for free for signing up?

The Collector Coin is a bonus freebie for backers who signed up to be notified about the campaign in advance. As long as you back the campaign with the same email address you signed up to be notified, it will be added to your cart in the pledge manager later. The coin will only be sent if you have other product in your final order on Kickstarter or the Pledge manager. If you do not qualify for the free coin, you can add it manually on Kickstarter or in the pledge manager.

What about the KS Union's strike?

The Kickstarter workers’ union is currently on strike. We support unions. They have specifically asked people to continue backing projects during the strike. You can learn more about their demands on their website, https://kickstarterunited.org/

Can I stretch pay when I add things in the pledge manager?

Pledge Over Time (PLOT) only applies to items in your Kickstarter pledge. Items added later in the pledge manager do not qualify for PLOT.

What happens if Restoration cannot support the app?

We are committed to supporting the app and have already demonstrated that commitment with our Restoration Games app, which we have continually updated for the past 4 years. However, we promise to open source the code for the app if we ever stop supporting it so that the gaming community can continue to update the app in perpetuity. We’ve made arrangements with a third-party escrow agent, Geoff Engelstein, to open source the code under those circumstances.

What's the warranty on the Tower?

We have a 2-year warranty against defect under normal wear-and-tear under which we will replace the tower for free. We will ship you a replacement tower along with a return label and require that you return the damaged tower in the same box. For lost or broken towers, we will replace at cost plus shipping plus a $10 handling fee. We offer replacement parts for all other components free of charge.

What batteries does the Tower use?

The Tower uses three AA batteries. You may use standard alkaline batteries or rechargeable batteries.

What happens if the batteries run out in the middle of a game?

The app can sense the power remaining when it connects to the Tower and will warn you if it thinks you might not be able to finish your game with the batteries installed. If the batteries die during the game, you can replace them and continue with your game.

Can I save my game?

You can pause the game in the app and continue it later. However, you must preserve the game state of the board and Tower. If you had to pack up the Tower, it would be possible but difficult to record the location and count of any skulls in the Tower and manually recreate that

Does my device need to be connected to the internet to play the game?

You only need an internet connection to update the app as necessary. During the game it is not necessary.

Do I have to pay VAT?

The pledge cost includes the VAT fees (shipping and product) for the UK and EU only. Other destinations will have to pay the relevant VAT separately from the campaign.

Will everything be available in the pledge manager at the same price?

Yes

Items added in the pledge manager, BackerKit, are not eligible for Pledge Over Time.

Can I add other Restoration Games titles to my pledge?

Due to the the logistical complexities involved, we are not able to offer other titles to this campaign.

Will Expeditions fit in the box? With Folded Space?

Expeditions includes a high quality expansion box. We are working with Folded Space to see if an insert adjustment is possible.

What is your refund/cancelation policy?

You can cancel at any time prior to the end of the campaign without being charged. After the campaign ends, but before the pledge manager closes, you can cancel your order for a 90% refund. After the pledge manager closes you can cancel for a 75% refund, which reflects the additional expenses we have incurred in manufacturing and shipping items. We will not refund pledges less than $20. We cannot promise a refund after shipping starts but will consider it on a case-by-case basis. All refund requests must be made to [email protected]

What are the retailer terms?

Authorized Retailers is the special pledge level for retailers to participate in our retailer program for this campaign. Pledge $300 now. You will finalize your order and make final payment when the game is ready to ship from the factory. Pledge funds are applied as a credit to your final order. DO NOT ADD ANY ADD-ONS IN KICKSTARTER. BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
